Working in a team of highly skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles, the successful HGV Mechanic will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair, you duties will include:

Vehicle inspections.
General servicing and pre-planned maintenance.
Reactive maintenance as required.
MOT preparation / Presentation.
Correction of running defects.

Be a fully qualified HGV Mechanic with City & Guilds / NVQ
Be able to undertake all aspects of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
Have knowledge of modern haulage vehicles

For this Heavy Haulage Driver role, we’re looking for an experienced haulage driver with a full UK driving licence, certified to C1 or C category. You will be a Class 1 C+E driver with an experience with plant machinery.

You should also be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and have experience of working in a similar role with heavy/over length/width loads.You will be expected to work Mon –Fri with 3-4 nights out per week and there will be some weekend work available.

Weights hauled will be between 44t and 250t and experience with these weights will effect salary

Key requirements:

Experience in a similar role with experience with heavy/over length/width loads

Plant experience using flats, step frames and low loaders.

• Ideally experience with movement orders and long/wide loads
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• C1/C qualified
• ALLMI to drive a 150T/M HIAB wagon would be extremely beneficial

Candidates with previous experience and job titles of; Multi Drop Driver, Class 2 Driver, Multi Drop HGV Driver, HGV Class 1, HGV Class 2, Delivery Driver, Trucking, Truck Driver, may also be considered for this role.
